I Look Like A Lobster!

Have you read the title? That's right, the sun punished me while I was in Acapulco and I am as red as a tomato. So, I've decided not to show my face on a video blog. :P Now let's see...let me update you on what I've been doing the past week.

From Monday to Wednesday I went to Acapulco with my brother and dad. Day one we went to a beach outside of the cove. This is the day I was burnt to a crisp. We spent all day at the beach either under the straw cabanas or in the water, which was the perfect temperature. The waves were pretty big and might I say I had a wonderful time watching the majority of people in the water fall off their boards when attempting to catch the waves. :) We left the beach at about six in the afternoon and went back to our hotel, The Avalon, to clean up. Later, we went to the Hard Rock Cafe, where I unfortunately got sick. I ended up throwing up. :/ But I thankfully felt better afterward. Dinner was delicious and there was a live cover band.

The next day we stayed at the beach next to the hotel. Fortunately, the salty water did not burn my eyes as it did two years ago. Since the beach is inside the cove, there are hardly waves. My brother and I went para sailing, which was a remarkable experience! I would definitely do it again. :D Later in the day my dad convinced me to my hair braided, but I only left it on until we left the next day. For the rest of the day we just chilled and after the beach went to the pool at the hotel. After cleaning up, we went to the fair across the street. I went on the Euro Bungee which was not what I expected. Every time I dropped, my stomach came with me. And towards the end my brother told the guy in charge to make me go higher so he pulled me down and I flew about twenty to twenty-five feet. On my last jump I did a front flip and upon landing I almost killed the guy managing the attraction. After a few flip/spin rides I felt nauseous so I decided to call it quits. For dinner we went to this small cafe because nothing else was open. They next day after breakfast we headed home to celebrate New Years Eve.

For New Years we stayed home. I went to church with my grandmother and cousin and my aunts and uncles made the most delicious hamburgers and fries. When the clock struck twelve hugs were passed around and we lit fireworks outside in the street. After a couple hours I hit the hay. On New Years day my dad spontaneously decided we should go to Tepotzlan, a step pyramid about thirty minutes away. A couple years ago we climbed the the mountain to reach the pyramid so I was prepared for the death I was about to experience. The whole way up the mountain is rocks, not steps. So, it took us, us being about 10 of my family members, about 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach the top. The step pyramid is in fact quite small. If you went/go to SCHS it's about the size of the Little Theater or if you go to StEdward's it's about the size of Knight Hall. The way down only took me about 40 minutes and by the time I reached the bottom my legs were trembling terribly! Overall, this was the perfect way to bring in the New Year.

Yesterday I did absolutely nothing. I was dead tired so I slept most of the day. Today we haven't done much either since we are leaving tomorrow. I've packed my suitcase to it's MAX, but when we go to the mall/movies tonight I hope my dad will buy me more clothes! :P (Like I need it...) This visit to Mexico was definitely not as eventful as past years have been, that being because of some family issues, but I certainly enjoyed myself and had a wonderful time not having to worry about anything. I realize I haven't posted any pictures and that's because my dad uploaded all of them onto my brother's laptop. So, when I get home on Tuesday I will try to put some up. Until then...
